Green reminds me of things that grow. (Like trees and grass and plants.) When you become God's child, He wants you to get to know Him better - to grow in how well you know Him.

Sin can keep that from happening. But God promises in I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." That means that if you sin you need to confess (tell on yourself) to God. "He is faithful" means He will always forgive you. And "just" means that God is fair to forgive you because He already punished every sin you’ve ever done when Jesus died for you on the cross.

You can get to know God better by reading and obeying His Word, the Bible. I hope you have a Bible at home that you can read.

Another thing that can help you grow in God is by talking to God in prayer.

Going to a church and Sunday school that teach from the Bible will help you know Him better too.

You can also tell others about Jesus! In fact, If you have just become God's child right now, would you let me know? I would like to thank God for what He has just done for you. It would be a good idea for you to thank Him right now as well.
