Child-sized Definitions
When teaching children, adults must be careful to use a vocabulary that the
children understand. When using words that might not be commonly used by
children, be sure to explain them.
Here are a few such words dealing specifically with teaching on sin
and some suggested "child-sized definitions." If you have any other
definitions for these words that work and wouldn't mind sharing them, please
drop us a line.
- Sin: Anything you do, say, think or even feel that displeases God.
or
Wanting your own way instead of wanting God's way.
- Sin Nature: Born with a "want-to" to do wrong.
- (Spiritual) Death: Separation from God forever in a place of
punishment the Bible calls "Hell."
