Younger children love to mimic and get involved physically in the club or
class. One way to take advantage of this love for motion is to have them act
out parts of the lesson with you.
Example: In a lesson on blind Bartimaeus the children can:
Close their eyes and pretend they are blind. (Try bringing some things they
can smell while their eyes are closed.)
Call out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" together.
Place their hands on their eyes as Jesus did to heal Bartimaeus.
Sing a song to praise God after their "healing."
If you have never done this before, you may feel a little self-concious at
first. But when you see how much the children enjoy it, you will too.
