Teaching Tip of the Week

For Emphasis . . .
During your teaching, there places where you would like to emphasize those
certain things that are most important in your lesson. Applications for the
unsaved child or for the saved child are places where you want to make sure
you have your children's attention. Try this:
- With flashcard lessons:
Hold the flashcard down to your side or set it down.
- With flannelboard lessons:
Move so that you are in front of the flannelboard visuals.
This will automatically draw the children's eyes to yours, establish eye
contact and communicate to the children that what you are about to say is
very, very important. If you lower your voice, they will listen even more
closely.
