What does the room you teach the children in look like? How about letting the children decide? They will most likely be excited to be able to decorate the room themselves. Of course, you can supervise. (But try not to supervise too much.) Let them have fun and encourage them to make decorations that are appropriate for the season or for the subject matter that they are currently learning about. You may even want a space on the wall where they can put up their favorite pictures of themselves. This will stir excitement and make them feel even more a part of things.
