Of all the ways to communicate that God loves the children, I can think of none better than to repeat something that Jesus taught. Jesus said, "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered." (Matthew 12:30, Luke 12:7)
Remind the children that they are so special to God that not only does He know when a hair on their head is missing, He even knows which one it is! You can have a lot of fun with the children on this one imagining other people reacting to a missing hair, or God commenting from Heaven on a certain numbered hair being sucked down the shower drain. But all to make the point how God loves each child.
