Keep It Scriptural
When giving an invitation, be sure to use a Bible verse as the central component. When you use
scripture you make sure that the invitation is scripturally based and it helps you keep
the invitation simple. Find verses that contain the terms of salvation (most commonly “believe”)
and the result (usually “saved”.) Base your invitation and salvation counseling on these terms.
Here are a few of those kinds of verses:
- John 1:12 - “Believe,” “Receive”/“Become a Child of God”
- John 3:16 - “Believe”/Not Perish,” “Everlasting Life”
- Romans 10:13 - “Call on the Name of the Lord”/“Saved”
- Acts 16:31 - “Believe”/“Saved”
- John 5:24 - “Hear,” “Believe”/“Everlasting Life”
God’s Word has power! Use it to bring the children to Him during the invitation.
