Transitions

Team teaching can be great. But if you’re not coordinated, it will ruin the pace of the class and can create opportunities for inattention and misbehavior.

Make sure you have a written agenda. (See 1/4/99 - Developing An Agenda.) Then when you teach, make your that you don’t have any “dead air.” When it isn’t your turn, be ready to jump up and do your part – whether it be a song, the memory verse, Bible lesson, whatever it is – so that there is no empty time (even a few seconds) between teaching segments. This makes your time with the children much more fun and helps especially those with an attention problem to keep their focus on you.
