Team teaching can be great. But if you’re not coordinated, it will ruin the pace of the class and can create opportunities for inattention and misbehavior.Make sure you have a written agenda. (See 1/4/99 - Developing An Agenda.) Then when you teach, make your that you don’t have any “dead air.” When it isn’t your turn, be ready to jump up and do your part – whether it be a song, the memory verse, Bible lesson, whatever it is – so that there is no empty time (even a few seconds) between teaching segments. This makes your time with the children much more fun and helps especially those with an attention problem to keep their focus on you.
